Friday evening the large pane of glass broke in the Entry Door of my building while taking my bike out. 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning I contacted Bernie’s Glass. Bernie showed up about 10:00 a.m. to measure and by 1:30 everything was completely replaced. Professional and proficient is how I would describe this firm. Being in the renovation business myself I know what I am talking about. I HIGHLY recommend this firm and will definitely use them again myself.

As a new owner of a dance studio I needed to purchase mirrors for the walls so my students can view my technique instructions and see themselves executing the steps, and I needed a glass that the parents can view into the dance room which allows the parents to see their children without the children being aware they are being observed. Most importantly, I needed it immediately. I was nervous that I had reached out to Bernie with such short notice that he would give me the same response I received from three other distributors and installers of the mirrors and glass. I came home to find my large decorative mirror on the floor. Apparently, due to the heat and the glue used to adhere the glass over time it was destined to fall. These were the exact works Bernie said within minutes after he arrived at my home. He provided education along with a fair estimate. I had been looking for several years to find someone to replace a mirror that had been broken in my move to New York. I found Bernie’s Glass on the Internet and the great testimonials encouraged me to contact him. I’m so glad I did. He did a fantastic job and the service was prompt and courteous. Plus he’s a great guy you’re happy to welcome into your home. By the way, I live on the upper east side in Manhattan, Bernie comes from Brooklyn, picks up and delivers.

Communication is not effect if you say you will arrive in an hour then say you did not come becauce I did not answer the phone. Be clear in communication customers have value on their time also. My husband waited for you to arrive at 2pm I call you at 1:50 pm you said you would be there in an hour. It is understandable that you were delayed but not that you did not arrive as you state.

Bernie is AWESOME! I came in with some 18″ x 24″ paintings to be framed. First he sent me up the street to his friend for pre-made frames because it would be cheaper. Bernie’s friend said he didn’t have that size and I would have to have them custom-framed, so I went back to Bernie. The framing job was museum quality and righteous discounted. I broke my tabletop and I did not want tp purchase a new table. After some research I met and spoke to Bernie to replace the tabletop. He did a fantastic replacement job. The table looks beautiful.

Bernie’s Glass is great.

Bernie is a real mench and an expert craftsman. I needed him to make just two shelves that crashed onto some antique glasses, which of course were crushed. He came to my home at a convenient time for me and made shelves that were of higher quality than the shelves that did not break. While this meant something to me, this small job apparently was not worth the while to other glaziers. He also took the time to properly install all the shelves and to teach me how to clean glass without smudges.

Bernie’s Glass was there went we needed them. Our parlor floor window was partial shattered late Friday evening and we were concerned that we might not find a glazier open or willing to undertake repairs on Saturdays. Luckily for us Bernie’s business was open early Saturday morning. They came right out and cleaned up the broken glass and carried away our shattered replacement window for repairs. Within a couple hours he returned with our vacuum sealed replacement window which he promptly installed. We were extremely pleased with the professional quality of the work and the expeditious manner in which Bernie’s Glass responded to the urgency of our situation. Thank you Bernie!!

Thanks Bernie, for restructuring my sliding window to accommodate a window ac unit. Was going nuts because my home owners Insurance Co. had me close up the ac vent that came with the 8 yrs. old rental property in Laurelton, Queens. My tenant now have transparent window that fits in beautifully with the other side of window. Price was also reasonable.

I have been a resident of Bedford Stuyvesant since 1993 and when it came window repair and replacement I knew to call Bernie of Bernies Glass. He is curtious and reliable.  My window are large and the balance kept needing replacement he adjusted the window frame and it is finally functioning properly.

Bernie’s glass and mirror! What can I say “you can’t go wrong with Bernie!” Bernie did work in my home twice and I couldn’t be more satisfied with his work. There’s nothing like good quality work and Bernie is the man for the job.

We had an urgent emergency very earlier this morning and to my surprise Bernie who was extremely busy took the time while on his way to another job to stop by and assess the damages, removed the damage glass and vacuumed and clear the area; taped the area to prevent heat from escaping and cold air from coming in. Bernie return back a few hours completed the job. He was very knowledgeable and took the necessary time to explain in full details what he was using, doing and how it would work. Thanks Bernie. Bernie and his apprentice came out the next day, and fixed the window–no kidding–in a little over half an hour. Though my windows are old and beat to crap, they were able to replace the glass with little effort, much skill and aplomb.

I had a small problem with a double hung window that was off it’s track. A few places were giving ridiculously high quotes as their minimum to fix it. They also couldn’t come for weeks even though they were large, corporate businesses.
I booked Bernie’s because he was affordable and could come in a reasonable amount of time. He also had good reviews.

Bernie came on time and was communicative. Since my job was even smaller than small he gave me a very reasonable price, even though I know he had driven over an hour to get to my place. I would use him again!

Bernie’s did a wonderful job replacing the skylight of a hundred year old brick house. The work was exceptional and everyone that sees it is in awe of the work and most important of all my house is being vented natural with no worries of food odor. This is much better than the skylight that you have to open and close, and it just goes with the building. (work done in Oceanhill Brooklyn)
